Graduate Salute Set for April 28-29

To officially kick off the Commencement celebration, IIT is hosting Graduate Salute on Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29 from noon - 7 pm in the Hermann Hall Ballroom. Attendance is only necessary on one of these two dates, not both.

Graduate Salute is the first step to making Commencement day as stress-free as possible by getting a head start on Commencement activities.

  • Pick up your regalia (cap and gown) and guest tickets for the Commencement ceremony. You must present your student ID or other photo ID in order to receive your items. You can claim regalia and tickets for yourself only.
  • Place an order for your personalized graduation announcements, class ring, and other Commencement memorabilia.
  • Have an individual portrait taken in your cap and gown. There is no obligation to purchase a photo even if you have one taken.
  • No RSVP is needed for Graduate Salute. Mark your calendars to attend Graduate Salute on one of the two days! Shuttles will run between the Downtown Campus and Main Campus for this event. For more information about Graduate Salute and what to do if you cannot attend, click here.

If you have any questions regarding the IIT Commencement ceremony please visit the Frequently Asked Questions page or email
